The anti-gay National Organization for Marriage (NOM) recently announced plans to hold 22 rallies across the country this summer to whip up opposition to same-sex marriage. In response, Freedom to Marry says it intends to hold counter-rallies in each of those cities in order to “spread the word across the country about the importance of ending exclusion from marriage” (Iowa Independent).
